NYPH wrap up
Photo Festivals from around the world all offer thrie own unique flavor. To some degree this reflects the host cities. But the more direct source is the jurors involved. The New York Photo Festival displays a gritty flavor. Photo-journalism is dominant, with examples of pseudo-photo-journalism as well. Projects with complex social interactions are also prevalent. This can include group projects, shows that became books, books that became shows, and projects that involve both word and image.
